FAQ

Questions people actually ask.

Anything about money is on the pricing page. This lot is about the tool.

Do I need an account?
Not to try. You create one only when you subscribe.
Do I need a Facebook or Google account?
No. It works on the public ad libraries while you are logged out, which is how we test it.
Which browsers work?
Chrome, Edge, Brave and Arc all take the same build. Firefox has its own, signed by Mozilla, so it stays put instead of disappearing when you restart.
How many ads can I download at once?
As many as the library will show you. There is no counter, quota or credit anywhere in the product. Large jobs split across several ZIP files rather than failing. Our biggest test run came to 1.89 GB in three parts.
Why is there no video for Google ads?
Google’s transparency pages never serve the video file. You get the YouTube link and the thumbnail, both marked as such in the spreadsheet. We would rather hand you a labelled gap than a stand-in you might mistake for the ad.
Some ads downloaded nothing. Why?
Almost always because they are third party HTML5 creatives, which have no downloadable file behind them. Those ads still appear in the sheet with a note. Anything that failed for a different reason lands in FAILED.txt with the reason attached.
Will the spreadsheet open properly in Google Sheets?
Yes. The CSV is UTF-8 with a byte-order mark, which is the bit that stops Excel turning Hindi, Arabic or emoji into question marks. There is also an .xlsx with the columns already sized and an About sheet recording what the export was.
What does the extension send anywhere?
Your searches and downloads stay in the browser. A licensed copy checks its key every few hours and sends four things: the key, a random install ID, the extension version, and the browser name. Never what you searched for or what you took.
Will it get me blocked?
It loads results at roughly the pace a person would scroll, and if a library puts up a security check it stops and asks you to clear it yourself. It will not try to get around one.
Is this allowed?
It reads public pages you can open yourself and takes only what those pages publish. We are not lawyers, though. If your use is commercial or at any real scale, read each library’s terms and take your own advice.
Does it work on a single ad I was sent a link to?
Yes. The ad details view gets its own download button, so one ad works the same as a grid of search results.
What happens when my licence ends?
Bulk download locks and the extension drops to the free plan, where single-ad downloads and Copy text keep working. It stays installed, so nothing is lost if you come back later. A time-limited tester build is different: it stops at the end of its testing period and says so on the page.
Something is broken. Who actually reads it?
We do. There are two of us. The popup has a Report a problem button that prefills the details we need, or you can just write to us.
