It works on the page you already have open.
It reads what the ad library has already published about each ad and writes it to disk in a shape you can still use a month later. There is no server in the middle. What you search for and what you download stay in your browser.
Every version of every ad
Search by keyword or by advertiser from the popup, using the library's own filters for country, media type, status and ad category. Carousels, dynamic product ads and multi-version creative tests each keep their variants as separate files and separate rows.
When several ads share one creative, the sheet counts them. That is how you tell a single placement from an asset the advertiser is running everywhere.
What Google actually publishes
Image ads come down as files. Video ads do not. Google's transparency pages never serve the video itself, so what you get is the YouTube link and its thumbnail, labelled as exactly that rather than passed off as the ad.
Text ads only exist as a rendered picture on Google's side, so that picture is what arrives. Some third party HTML5 creatives have no downloadable file behind them at all. Those get a row and a note saying why, instead of being skipped.
Files named for what they are
Advertiser, the date the ad started running, its Library ID, which version. The name does the work so the file still means something when you open the folder next quarter. Big jobs split into parts rather than failing.

One row per ad version
Twenty-nine columns in all. These are the ones people actually sort and filter on. The real column name sits underneath, for whoever you end up handing the file to.
Hindi, Arabic and emoji survive the round trip into Excel and Sheets. An empty cell means the library did not publish that field. We never guess at one.
How it behaves while you work
Nothing to ration
There is no quota and no credit balance anywhere in this thing. The only ceiling is how many ads the library is willing to show you.
Loads at a human pace
Load all results scrolls the way a person would, and there is a slower setting for long runs. Stop whenever you like. Whatever loaded so far stays selected.
You keep your tab
Downloads run in a tab of their own. Close the popup, carry on browsing, start a second search while the first job finishes. None of that interrupts it.
Nothing phones home
Your searches and downloads never leave the browser. A licensed copy checks its key with us every few hours and sends four things: the key, a random install ID, the version, and which browser it is.
Two browsers, one key
Your laptop and your desktop, or Chrome and Firefox, whichever pair suits you. The Firefox build is signed by Mozilla, so it stays installed when you restart.
Failures are written down
If a file cannot be fetched, FAILED.txt says which ad and why. A run never quietly hands back fewer files than it said it would.
Where the edges are
Most tools in this category stay vague about this part. Ours, before you pay for anything.
- Not affiliated
- We are independent. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Meta Platforms, Inc. or Google LLC.
- Public libraries only
- It reads the same public pages you can open yourself while logged out. No account access, and nothing that sits behind a login.
- Google video
- Google does not serve the video file on its transparency pages. You get the link and the thumbnail, marked as such in the sheet.
- Some ads have no file
- Some third party HTML5 creatives have nothing downloadable behind them. They appear in the sheet with a note explaining why.
- Security checks
- If a library throws up a security check, the extension stops and asks you to clear it yourself. It will not try to get around one.
- Still an alpha
- Builds go out one person at a time and change often. Tell us what breaks. That is rather the point of this stage.
